Alex Larson is an accomplished business leader with a proven track record of success. A proud fourth-generation Gilroyan with deep roots in our community. With over 40 years of business experience Alex is known for his exceptional leadership skills and strategic vision that drive growth and innovation. His unselfish commitment and community involvement sets him apart from others. As a seasoned businessman, Alex understands the importance, especially as they relate not only in business but in community colleges, ensuring that ethical practices and responsibilities are at the forefront of every decision.
His ability to navigate complex business landscapes has resulted in significant achievements, including serving as an integral part of the Gilroy Garlic Festival for over 40 years, serving as a volunteer and vendor. In 1979, Alex co-chaired the Garlic Fries booths to benefit the Bonanza days along with Joyce Pattereau and Sandra Larson to introduce the very first Garlic French fries.

Alex Larson embodies compassion and dedication, as demonstrated by his incredible efforts to support Operation Freedom Paws. This organization plays vital role in empowering veterans and individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. Through t he healing bond of service dogs, Operation Freedom Paws transforms lives, offering hope and support to veterans, first responders, children, and those grappling with complex trauma, disabilities, and illnesses. Recently, Alex's commitment shone brightly when he raised an impressive $12,000 at an auction event in Gilroy, helping to further the mission of this life-saving organization.

Alex and his brother, Charlie, In keeping with all things garlic, Rapazzini’s offers world-famous garlic wine, Chateau de Garlic. When paired with linguine in garlic clam sauce, this wine is a garlic lover’s delight.
THE GARLIC SHOPPE
Alex and his brother, Charlie Larson, own the Garlic Shoppe in Gilroy, a wonderland for those obsessed with all things, well, garlic. They create a multitude of products under the name of Mama Rap’s, Garlic Dude and
Psycho Garlicky Hot Sauce to name a few. Alex has invaluable proven experience in managing finances and will bring his leadership skills to Gavilan College as Trustee of Area 4.
