In 1979, Alex co-chaired the Garlic Fries booths to benefit the Bonanza days along with Joyce Pattereau and Sandra Larson to introduce the very first Garlic French fries.

Recently, Alex's commitment shone brightly when he raised an impressive $12,000 at an auction event in Gilroy, helping to further the mission of this life-saving organization.

Alex and his brother, Charlie Larson, own the Garlic Shoppe in Gilroy, a wonderland for those obsessed with all things, well, garlic. They create a multitude of products under the name of Mama Rap’s, Garlic Dude and
Psycho Garlicky Hot Sauce to name a few. Alex has invaluable proven experience in managing finances and will bring his leadership skills to Gavilan College as Trustee of Area 4.
